Spatial Compatible User Evaluation Algorithm for Space Division Multiplexing Broadcast Channels
نویسندگان
چکیده
Cochannel interference introduced by frequency reuse under space division multiple access can be reduced by controlling the frequency sharing according to the users’ spatial separability. The system avoids placing highly correlated users in space into the same spatial multiplexing group. This paper describes a user spatial compatibility evaluation criterion based on channel matrix structure analysis. The interferences are evaluated using the distances between subspaces spanned by the users’ channel matrixes. The analysis considers row space and column space. Simulation results show that the row space distance criterion significantly outperforms other criteria because it fully utilizes the information from the users’ channel matrixes. As the dimensions of the users’ channel matrixes increase, the matrix structure analysis-based criteria become even more efficient.

Measurement of Time-Varying MIMO Channels and Performance Evaluation of Spatial Multiplexing
MIMO spatial multiplexing is a key technology to increase channel capacity. The performance depends on channels including antenna characteristics. In eigenbeam space division multiplexing (E-SDM), not only a receiver but also a transmitter needs channel state information (CSI). The performance of an E-SDM system may degrade in timevarying environments because CSI at the transmitter is outdated....

This dissertation focuses on downlink multi-antenna transmission with packet scheduling in a wireless packet data network. The topic is viewed as a critical system design problem for future high-speed packet networks requiring extremely high spectral efficiency. Our aim is to illustrate the interaction between transmission schemes at the physical layer and scheduling algorithms at the medium ac...
متن کاملAnalysis of Multiuser MIMO Downlink Networks Using Linear Transmitter and Receivers
In contrast to dirty-paper coding (DPC) which is largely information theoretic, this paper proposes a linear codec that can spatially multiplex the multiuser signals to realize the rich capacity of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) downlink broadcast (point-to-multipoint) channels when channel state information (CSI) is available at the transmitter. Assuming single-stream (or single-mode) c...
متن کاملMIMO Broadcast and Interference Channels with Location based Partial CSIT
Multiple antennas facilitate the coexistence of multiple users in wireless communications, leading to spatial multiplexing and spatial division and to significant system capacity increase. However, this comes at the cost of very precise channel state information at the transmitters (CSIT). We advocate the use of channel propagation models to transform location information into (possibly incompl...

In this paper, we address the problem of enhancing the performance (including the system capacity and average user bit error probability) of a multi-user multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system for communication from one base station to many mobile stations in multipath Rayleigh fading channels. This problem arises in multi-user space division multiplexing (SDM) systems where multiple inde...
